| Well since it's bee ages I thought I'd let the world and my loved NY friends I'm still alive. I know I have been horriable for keeping in touch and I ask for all your forgivness. (in my defence you are all thoughtof and prayed for often). So where to start... life has been good... correct, God has been good. The winter in Nova Scotia has been just about snow free. It has been cold and believe it or not I have been wearing socks and shoes most of the winter! Things with Jessica and Samm are still at a stand still. We were going to counseling and it had promise but reciently she and her husband have been backing out. Please keep praying for Samm and for Jessica and I as we sort out where he will be living and where he will be going to school. On a bit of a happier note, Samm he has reciently learned the Greek alphabet! (I know thats kinda weird too but hey it is impressive!). I must say to hear your child say 'lambda' or 'omicron' is something very cool, one of those you love being a daddy moments! I'm still working making plastic, saving the plastic world one bag at a time! I have been teaching myself greek aswell. Future plans are still up in the air as I'm waiting to see what role I'll be able to play in Samms life. I hope to be getting my home phone setup this week and look forward to calling some of you. I hope you are enjoying your day and please remember to smile! Much love from the north, Derrick and Samm (Just some amazingly fun times with Samm!)

| So this is our sunday afternoon setting up our tree! We had more eggnog than we should have and sang away to many old records (LP's) our favorite being Elvis, "blue christmas"!
Gettig ready
Our tree box, makes for a real good submarine!
And then when I droped Samm off to his moms I came home and listened to more Elvis and just realaxed looking at our tree. (the lights were off, kinda wanted to make this the real authentic thing... like you are there)
You are all missed, and loved hope your tree experiance is as fun as ours was!
| That game lasted about a half hour. Some of the moves are still a bit hard (mainly the knight that "L" shape is hard to teach!) but he has fun. It was so nice to hear from you all, my internet isn't hooked up yet (still wondering if it's worth $50.00 canadian a month) so it was nice to check today and read your notes, thanks for taking time to write them! Josh I can't wait to hear all about your superbowl! (If you are wondering my bro Josh just did his first Superbowl and from what I've herd it was great! Congradulations (?) Bro! So sunday is when Samm and I are putting up our tree. It's still a bit early but this is a sunday that we are together so early it will have to be. And you are all invited to join us! *sigh* wouldn't that be nice. Well I should be going, need to buy a napkin holder and an end table today. Incase you are wondering, yes lamps are that expensive! They are not cheap and it is much harder to get one you like then you would think! Hoping to get down to NY in late Dec. with Samm so pray. Things with Jessica have been so good lately... we can actually talk now, even joke around a bit! God is amazing and is great, I hope you enjoy your time with Him today! Love you all, have a wonderful weekend, Derrick | | |

Thinking of the perfect move,
It's execution,
And the victor! ... (bishop to king you loose daddy!) Just a bit of fun. Not always a fair game but Samm lets me win every so often. Just wanted to say that God keeps providing. I needed a bed for Samm (he has mine and I'm on the floor). I was praying abou it and last night my boss asked me if I wanted a double bed for free! Ya, how cool is that! Things are good, I miss NY, well not so much NY as much as the friends. I hope you are enjoying your day, we sure are! I will post some pictures of the house soon (well it's a basement appart. but we call it our house). Working on getting internet soon too so I might even try to e-mail some of you! Much love, Samm and Derrick
